Our mission
Grief and loss are universal experiences that we all must face at some point in our lives. Whether it's the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, the loss of a dream or goal, or even the grief we all feel in the world, these experiences can leave us feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how to move forward. That’s where poetry can come in- and be used as a powerful tool for expressing and processing these complex emotions. Writing has a way to make sense of our feelings and find comfort and solace during difficult and devastating times. This workshop is an interactive hour of writing from the heart- where you will be guided into expressing yourself, feel your emotions and get in touch with your grief in a safe and loving space.
One of the most striking aspects of poetry is its ability to capture and convey emotion in a way that is both powerful and nuanced. When we're grieving, it can be hard to find the words to express the depth of our emotions. Poetry allows us to tap into a range of feelings – from sadness and despair to hope and resilience – and to do so in a way that feels authentic and true to our experience. Sharing words allows us to connect with the emotions of others, feel seen and heard and allows us to feel not so alone in an otherwise isolating time. Come and find comfort in words and fellowship, where we tenderly step into the shared human experience of loss.
