At this point in our lives, we have all suffered from grief. Whether its the loss of a loved one, loss of self, loss of a life we knew, or even the collective grief we feel in the world right now.

So where does the love go that is left behind? How do we make sense of this loss? Writing can be a catahrtic part of the healing process for your grief. This is very much the case when writing about grief for ourselves and our own journey towards acceptance, but also when writing to share our pain with others. Writing out our emotions creates a deeply honest exploration of memory, emotion and art.at

Studies also indicate that writing is a way by which helps us cope with loss and change, to help us take those first steps towards healing the pain that comes with our grieving. This is imperative to the process, to understand, to see us outside of ourselves. Such a reflective writing “can help us make sense of a world that doesn’t.”

In this Workshop we will explore grief and love, hope and light, within writing prompts, letters, and a guided meditation.

If you are writing about your pain and you want to share this writing with others, one certain way to ensure your writing connects and packs an emotional punch is to write your truth, whatever that looks like for you.

During our few hours together, we will engage in various writing exercises, such as writing prompts, brainstorming sessions, and letter writing. There will also be a meditation from special guest Alissa Rose.

The workshop also provides an opportunity for writers to network, form connections, and build a community of like-minded individuals.
